EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS

The Art League, Marco Island's Center for the Arts, provides an education program in the arts through special workshops, classes expos and demos in an equipped facility, known as the Beth Rhodes Center for Art Education. The facility is open to the public, and one does not have to be a member to participate in most of the educational programs. The Art League Center for the Arts has a non-profit status from the State of Florida and is considered to be a vital, cultural educational organization.

Annually the Education Committee reviews the planned educational programs and the community demographics. As a result we offer education in the visual, dramatic, literary, musical and culinary arts. The course curriculum for 2009/2010 includes over 100 courses for adults in eleven different media, specialty workshops, and lectures. In addition to 30 programs for children in visual and dramatic arts.

ENROLLMENT OPTIONS

The Art League - Center for the Arts accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover and PayPal. Enrollment is available by mail, phone, online or in person.

FEES

Fees are determined based on instructors' fees and operating costs. Fees are recommended by the education committee and presented to the Board of Directors of the Art League Marco Island's Center for the Arts for approval.

Members in good standing receive a 25% discount on all workshops and semester classes. Children's programs are not included.

• A $10.00 processing fee is charged for ALL refunds.
• A $25.00 processing fee is charged for withdrawal from a class after the
class has started.
• A $10.00 processing fee is charged if a student switches classes.
• Classes cannot be prorated.

REFUNDS

Refunds are only made if cancellation is received 30 days prior to the start date of the first class. No refunds are made for missing classes. If a student withdraws from the course after the first day, a $25.00 processing fee will be charged and a refund, less a prorated fee for the course, will be returned. There are NO refunds made on WORKSHOPS if the student withdraws. Courses cancelled by the Art League Marco Island's Center for the Arts receive a full refund.

SUPPLIES

Unless otherwise specified in the course listing, materials/supplies are NOT included in the course fee. A suggested material/supply list is provided at time of enrollment. Students are responsible for supplying their own table cover (such as newspapers, plastic covers, including large trash bags), paper towels, handi wipes, and a sponge for clean-up. For your convenience, the Center for the Arts now carries the majority of the art supplies required by our semester instructors. These supplies are available for purchase in the Gift Shop where Members receive a 5% discount on art supply purchases.
